March, 2007 Fleet Pro Product Release

Tempus is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of its Fleet Pro product line in late March 2007.

Fleet pro is a fleet management product that will immediately improve on longstanding inefficiencies in the bulk hauling sector of the trucking industry. These improvements include: a more efficient way to keep track of operators hours of service through our automated log book feature; an electronic load manifest that will increase the efficiency over the current hand written version and has the additional benefit of reducing the errors normally associated with this process; a text messaging terminal that will reduce the communication costs over a cellular phones which is the current mode of communication; a moving map display that will reduce the instances of lost drivers, additionally the fleet pro system monitors the drivers habits and gives live feedback if the driver is violating any of the local traffic laws.

These systems all reside on a rugged, purpose built computer running an imbedded version of Microsoft’s XP operating system. The information that is collected by this application is stored on a Microsoft SQL data base and is available to be reported on within a Web interface.
